MLK Weekend at the Southeast Raleigh YMCA

Join our community partners in service this MLK Day weekend, hosted at the Southeast Raleigh YMCA. 

Food and Toiletry Drive
Supporting the Men's and Women's Centers of Raleigh, we are accepting donations of canned foods and toiletries including toothbrushes, toothpaste, hand warmers, feminine hygiene products. Please turn in all donations to the YMCA by Jan. 15.

SATURDAY, JANUARY 15, 2022

Virtual Groundwater Presentation
9 a.m. - Noon
Led by the Racial Equity Institute of Greensboro, North Carolina, the Groundwater Approach is a figure of speech used to tell the story, name, and understand the reality that we live in a racially structured society, and that is what causes racial inequity. Must be able to attend Day 2 on Monday, January 17 from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Register here.

Vaccination Clinic
10 a.m. - Noon

Package Donations
9 a.m. - Noon *POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER

Assist in packaging toiletry and canned good donations for the South Wilmington Street Center and The Women's Center.

Groundwater Presentation Day 2
Noon - 2 p.m.

Groundwater Presentation Debrief, Small group discussions and SER Promise Youth Leaders will share their Story and their Journey.
