Nutrition and Mental Health
Led by Donnae Ward, MS, CWP, Clinical Mental Health Counseling Candidate
The what, why, and how we eat are all connected to our mental health. There are foods that improve mood, combat anxiety and depression and give us energy.
In Part 1 and 2 of Nutrition and Mental Health, we discussed how nutrition and mental health intertwine due to systemic oppression, trauma and access. We highlighted what those beneficial foods look like and did a cooking demo.
In Part 3, we will recap and discuss how we can incorporate and strategize these foods in our lifestyle to promote positive behavior changes.
