Our commitment to children and teens is core to our work. Earlier this year, we announced an exciting new project that includes the construction of the Alexander Jones Wright YMCA Youth Center on the campus of the Alexander Family YMCA. The 10,000-square-foot center will provide dedicated space to impact more children, teens and families.
Construction will have variable impact on parking and facility access for the foreseeable future. Bookmark this page for updates on the project and its impact.
CURRENT CLOSURES
FLINT STREET ACCESS: Beginning Sept. 3, Flint Street will be closed until Dec. 2025. Please use the entrances from Hillsborough Street or Park Avenue. This affects Rides Out for our YMCA After School program.
COMING UP
- Building hours have been expanded to help with the congestion. Look for this information in your member newsletter on the last Tuesday of the month.
ITEMS OF NOTE
- This project is funded entirely through donors, grants and public funding - and not membership dollars.
- In the interest of safety, all youth programs will be held in indoor spaces.
