Esports

YMCA Esports gives players ages 8 - 12 the opportunity to compete with other players and gain skills and knowledge about gaming.

New to Esports?

If your child is new to Esports or has never participated in online gaming, the games and technology can feel a bit overwhelming.

Inclusive Lacrosse

This program, led by Endless Sports, is specifically designed for participants with developmental and/or physical disabilities. This inclusive, co-ed lacrosse league for special needs athletes, provides a safe, positive and fun experience.

Preschool Sports

YMCA Rookie Sports is designed for kids, ages 3 - 5 (potty-trained), who are new to sports and teaches basic skill development in soccer, basketball, and tee-ball.

Players are introduced to sports through drills, gym games and team play. We aim to build confidence and enhance motor skills.

Y Runners

Y Runners is designed for kids, ages 6 to 14, who wish to get intentional individual training in endurance, cross-country, running technique, and sprinting.

Y Runners will meet twice weekly for an hour to an hour and 15 minutes. Athletes are introduced to form and technique as well as a program designed to increase stamina. Runners will aim to build confidence and enhance endurance.

Youth Flag Football

YMCA youth flag football teaches kids how to play together on the field with a no-contact version of football.  Teams learn basic plays, good sportsmanship and the foundations of the game with our volunteer YMCA coaches.

Please be sure to check our age chart to determine your child's league.

Youth Futsal

The YMCA offers a recreational futsal program designed to give players extra experience during a time when soccer is usually out of season.

Futsal is a variation of indoor soccer that is widely played across the world and is recognized by FIFA and other major organizations.

Youth Soccer

The YMCA offers youth soccer in a fun, skill-based environment. Our teams are coached by volunteers and staff and teams are formed based on age.

Cleats are highly recommended. The YMCA recommends players U7 and younger have and wear shinguards and cleats during play. Older players, U8 and above, must have and wear shinguards during play.

Youth Tennis

Tennis lessons are a great way to learn the game of tennis or to perfect your tennis game.

Whether your child is brand new to tennis or an advanced player, he or she can learn skills and techniques from one of our tennis professionals.

We offer private, semi-private and group clinics for players of all ages and skill levels.

Youth Triathlons

Each year the YMCA of the Triangle introduces more than 100 kids ages 7 - 14 to triathlons. We host a youth triathlon in North Raleigh in the late summer.

The course is age-specific and kids compete in certain age groups. The 2024 Finley Frenzy takes places August 24 on the grounds of the A.E. Finley YMCA.
