Fitness

At the YMCA of the Triangle, we know fitness involves more than working out. It's about making good choices to live well inside and out. You’re not only supported by our staff, but you’re also part of a community that helps you be your best self at every age.

Whether you’re looking to lose weight, get stronger, eat healthier, fight disease, improve your energy, or lower stress, we have people and programs in place to help.

Fitness Tools

The YMCA is offering a wearable heart rate tracker that will motivate you, connect you with others, and help you reach your wellness goals.

When you use your Myzone wearable you can see your effort, heart rate, and calories burned in our fitness studios.

THRIVE classes may be movement-based, like Tai Chi or Yoga, or may use a chair or other assistance for strength and conditioning workouts. No matter your age, it's important to build and maintain strength, balance and mobility.

Group Fitness Classes: Water Fitness

YMCA Water Fitness Classes are held in the shallow or deep end of the pool. During the warmer months, we use outdoor pools as well. Classes are designed to be easy on the joints and low impact while delivering a good workout.

Yoga is for everyone. It can improve your strength, balance and flexibility whether you are a first-timer at our Gentle Yoga or a more experienced participant at one of our Hot Yoga classes.
