In the legislative branch, excited delegates spend the weeks leading up to conference working on and drafting bills that they present at the conference. The bills start their presentation in either the freshman forum, the house, or the senate where they go through pro and con debate and get passed or failed.
Bills that are passed go through a repeat the process in the next chamber. A fortunate few get presented to the Governor and his Cabinet. The Governor's Cabinet (Gov Cab) makes all final decisions on the passing or failing of a bill. This year, 27 out of 211 submitted bills, 12.8% of the total bills, successfully passed through the House and Senate Chambers, as well as the Governor’s Cabinet, to be signed into Y&G law.
