ADDITIONAL ENHANCEMENTS HAVE ARRIVED AT THE KRAFT FAMILY YMCA!
At the Y, member experience is always our top priority. In an effort to continually enhance our member offerings, we have several improvements we are excited to bring your way!
Members will enjoy:
- a brand new amenity - Infrared Saunas! Infrared saunas will be added to our locker rooms as a new member experience this fall. Infrared sauna benefits are similar to those experienced with a traditional sauna, but at a lower temperature. Infrared lamps warm your body tissue directly, whereas conventional saunas heat the air around you first. Benefits may include improved circulation and blood pressure, relief from sore muscles and joint pain, relaxation, detoxification and better sleep.
- a Wellness Floor Redesign making way for an expanded free weight area and the latest new cardio equipment including new MATRIX Upright and Recumbent Bikes, STAIRMASTER 10g Climbers and HIIT Rowers.
- a Locker Room "Glow-Up." Both our Men's and Women's Locker Rooms received all new tiling on wet surface areas.
- Expanded Kid Zone hours for our youngest Y members. Kid Zone is now open on Sundays! Kid Zone will also offer dedicated times for neurodivergent children to attend with 1:1 staff member care.
- Extended Saturday hours. Our doors are now open beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Saturdays. Get an earlier start to your weekend workout routine! Doors continue to open at 5:30 a.m. Monday - Friday.
- More Group Exercise Classes! The number and variety of group exercise classes offered has been expanded to meet member demand. Register in the Y mobile app 48 hours in advance to reserve your spot.
- More Pickleball Play. Additional Pickleball time slots have been added to allow play seven days a week!
Although most of our amenities will remain open during this facility refresh, members may wish to utilize other branches during periods of peak renovations or plan accordingly to allow extra time for changing and showering as potential interruptions to locker room usage is expected. Please remember members have the flexibility to visit any YMCA of the Triangle location at any time through their member benefits.
