Alyssa Thomas, a dedicated delegate from West Stokes High School, is running to be the 2027 YAG Lieutenant Governor. Thomas’ goal for next year’s conference is to bring back inclusivity, urge involvement, provide more organization in chambers and make all delegates feel that they belong here. Born into a military family that moved often, Thomas never felt she truly belonged anywhere, but coming to YAG changed that.
Starting her freshman year, she found she had something in common with the other delegates — no idea what was going on. As the conference went on, she began to make friends and found that YAG is a place where everyone belongs, no matter what part of the state you are from.
