We are pleased to share that the new Branch Executive Director for the Ingram Family YMCA is Amanda Isham.
Amanda joins us with deep local roots and a wealth of experience in volunteerism, social work, student support, youth programming and most recently leading highly successful wellness programming for 15+ years. She has a clear and proven heart for service and building community with a goal of helping individuals reach their full potential.
Amanda is not new to the Y by any means! Similar to many leaders, she began in youth programming, including youth sports, swim instruction, academic support and summer camps.
From there, countless Y members and staff credit Amanda with shaping their fitness journeys from her time with the Taylor Family YMCA. There she led teams of personal trainers, shaped teen fitness programming, taught and coordinated a full range of group exercise opportunities and facilitated small group programs such as LIVESTRONG at the YMCA and YMCA Diabetes Prevention. Most recently, Amanda has run her own boutique fitness studio in downtown Cary for the last 5 years.
Amanda’s talents, passions and experience align remarkably well with the Y’s commitment to thriving service to the Lee County community. Her creativity, team-building capacity and energy are all tremendous additions to our Ingram and association teams, and we look forward to our growing collective impact on the kids, adults and families in our community.
Amanda began her new role on November 29 and will be relocating to Lee County in the next few months. Please join us in congratulating and welcoming her. She very much looks forward to connecting with each of you!
