Katherine Southern, a sophomore at West Stokes High School, has two main goals as Speaker of the House: strengthening communication and building confidence among delegates. As a dedicated member of the legislative branch, Southern is committed to making every session run smoothly by ensuring delegates are fully prepared before Conference. Katherine plans to take action by organizing and leading help sessions where delegates can practice, ask questions, and gain a better understanding of procedures and expectations.
She believes preparation is the key to success and wants everyone to walk into Conference feeling confident. Through these lessons, Katherine’s goal is to offer thoughtful feedback, helpful advice, and encouragement. By creating a supportive environment focused on growth and preparation, she hopes to help each delegate improve their skills and contribute meaningfully to the conference's success.
