National Nutrition Month

March is National Nutrition Month, a time to focus on making informed food choices, developing healthy habits and celebrating the power of good nutrition. This year, we’re excited to highlight a variety of events designed to educate, inspire, and engage our community in conversations about well-being.

Nutrition HealthWorks 

The YMCA works with Nutrition HealthWorks to offer personalized nutrition services for weight management, medical wellness, sports nutrition, diabetes education and corporate nutrition for adults and children. Nutrition HealthWorks is committed to providing the highest-quality nutritional guidance to each individual who seeks support. Their registered dietitians and licensed nutritionists are specially trained to deliver custom-tailored solutions based on individuals’ specific needs.

Webinar: DASH Way of Eating

Monday, March 16 | Noon - 1 p.m. or 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

From our Y Health membership team, the DASH Way of Eating webinar will introduce the DASH Diet, explaining what it is and why it is an effective approach to heart health. Participants will learn about DASH-friendly foods that support cardiovascular wellness, strategies for making healthy choices while on the go and practical tips for creating a daily food plan to set themselves up for success. Y Health

Nutrition is a critical part of several of our physician-referred, evidence-based Y Health programs that support individuals managing pre-diabetes, high blood pressure and weight management through expert guidance and a community of peers. A doctor’s referral is required.
