Ongoing Monthly Opportunities
Northwest Cary Market: 3rd Saturday of each month
Volunteers assist with helping set up in preparation for the market, sign in vendors and meet and greet our guests throughout the morning, or help with breaking things down at the end of the market. Learn more and sign up.
Summer Day Camp Volunteers: Camp High Hopes
Volunteers can expect a fun-filled day with endless opportunities to help kids grades K-10 engage in active sports, learn new skills, and make new friends. There will be swim lessons, tutoring, and some amazing field trips. Learn more and sign up.
Kindercamp
Kindercamp is a half-day adventure filled with swimming and water play, creative arts, outdoor play, games, assemblies and songs. Different weekly themes add variety to activities throughout the summer. Join us in making this amazing camp for ages 3 - rising Kindergarten the most fun it can be. Learn more and sign up.
Swim Team Volunteers
YMCA summer and year-round swim teams emphasize teamwork, sportsmanship and personal achievement. Volunteers will work to assist the YMCA Swim Team Coaches to help develop swimmer's technique, speed, and endurance. Learn more and sign up.
Swim Lesson Volunteers
Volunteers will work to assist the YMCA Swim Instructors to help develop swimmer's technique, speed, and endurance. This may include preparing equipment, and help promoting safety. Learn more and sign up.
Aquatics Access Desk
The Aquatics Access Desk is the first contact our outdoor pool members have with the Northwest Cary YMCA when they visit. Members are welcomed in an eager, warm and hospitable manner as they scan their card to access the facility. The Access Desk Assistant has 4 main roles: a greeter, access desk assistant to scan member cards, provide administrative support and assist with special events preparation. Learn more and sign up.
Welcome Center Access Desk
The Access Desk Assistant has 4 main roles: a greeter, access desk assistant to scan member cards, provide administrative support and assist with special events
preparation. They may assist folding towels or rolling t-shirts for an upcoming event, etc. If you enjoy people, this is a great opportunity for you. Learn more and sign up.
Kid Zone
Kid Zone provides onsite care for infants through elementary school aged children while their parents participate in YMCA onsite programs. Children participate in games, activities, crafts and outdoor play. Volunteers will assist YMCA staff in games and other activities while maintaining a safe, fun and friendly environment for children and their families. Infants often just need to be held. Wellness Floor Volunteer
Volunteers help where needed as staff is attending to the needs of the members. Learn more and sign up.
Gym Attendant Volunteer
Gym Attendant Volunteers must demonstrate YMCA values with a desire to serve others and fulfill community needs. Excellent interpersonal and customer skills are often required to maintain a fun and welcoming environment in the gym in accordance with established policies and expectations of the YMCA. If you have a great attitude, are outgoing towards others, and skilled in handling occasional conflict resolution, this volunteer position could be perfect for you. Learn more and sign up.
