Each year WakeEd provides free classroom supplies for nearly 11,000 teachers in Wake County Public Schools through their program Tools4Schools. Our Wake County YMCAs serve as drop-off spots for donations between July 9 - Aug. 30, collecting Crayola crayons, colored pencils, pens, pocket folders, index cards and more.
Our YMCA is proud to support this effort, and we need your help. Look for the large bins in the lobbies of our YMCAs and drop new, unused items throughout the summer.
Later this summer, all Wake County Public School teachers can sign up for a time to "shop" at the WakeEd store and pick out the supplies they need for the year.
