YMCA Honors Veterans with Branch Events

The YMCA of the Triangle is honored to recognize veterans and active duty military with events across several of our branches in the days leading up to and including Veterans Day.

 

Alexander Family YMCA
The Alexander YMCA warmly invites Y members who are Veterans to celebrate their service to our nation. We will share a light breakfast on Nov. 10 and a short program including a special guest speaker. For more information, visit the event page

Kraft Family YMCA
We would like to honor all of our veterans by creating a Wall of Honor and map of service to be displayed in the lobby during the week of November 6 - 12. For more information, or learn how to add your photo to the Wall of Honor, visit the event page.

Northwest Cary YMCA
In honor of all veterans and active duty service members, there will be a Veterans Day Table display in the lobby, service branch flags hung in the facility and US flags decorating the lawn of our branch. All veterans and active duty members may show your military ID to receive a Veterans Day gift while supplies last. For more information, visit the event page

Taylor Family YMCA
A Veterans Day Ceremony will be held on Friday, Nov. 10 at 11 a.m. to honor those who have served our country. Members, participants and staff should gather around the flagpole at 10:50 a.m. for a flag-raising ceremony, performances of the service anthems and remarks from veterans and Y leaders.
