YMCA awarded Truist Foundation Grant

The YMCA of the Triangle is happy to share that we've received a Truist Foundation grant of $75,000 to support our academic support programs across the region. This funding will be used for programs that help students across the triangle who struggle to reach school-system benchmarks.

"We're honored to have community partners like the Truist Foundation," said Matt Strickland, Senior Vice President of Financial Development. "Because of their generous grant, we'll be able to continue to support students throughout the Triangle and help them reach scholastic benchmarks."

Supporting the Community

Our YMCA is committed to bridging the education gap. That's why we developed Y Learning, a standardized academic support program for students in grades K – 8 who struggle to reach school-system benchmarks. This program, as well as other scholastic programs, are funded by grants, community support and donations to the YMCA's We Build People Annual Campaign.
