On October 18, the YMCA of the Triangle (YOTA) Swim Team was announced as a USA Swimming Bronze Medalist through the USA Swimming Club Excellence Program!
The Club Excellence Program identifies swim clubs that execute strong, well-rounded programs to produce elite 18-and-under athletes. To earn the Bronze Medal status, the YOTA swim team was ranked as one of the top 200 teams in the nation.
"These accomplishments are a testament to our team's continued development and success," said Jerry Foley, YOTA Senior Director of Competitive Swimming. "Together, we will continue to improve at every level in our pursuit of transforming young people into high-character leaders and lifelong champions of the YMCA."
2021 has been an incredible year for the YOTA Swim Team. At the end of the 2021 Short Course Season, YOTA was ranked 10th among all YMCAs and 42nd in nation.
