Cinco De Mayo Celebration
Cinco de Mayo is a yearly celebration held on May 5 to celebrate Mexico's victory over the Second French Empire at the Battle of Puebla in 1862, led by General Ignacio Zaragoza.
Join us to celebrate in the courtyard of the Northwest Cary Y on May 6 from 5:30 - 7 p.m. We will have music, dancing, a food truck, free mocktails, piñata smashing, yard games and more. We will have a pre-Zumba party from 6:30 - 7 p.m. in the courtyard, open for all members before our regular 7 p.m. Zumba class.
We will also have giveaway swag from the family friendly movie IF, while supplies last, and offer free movie premier tickets at our Cinco de Mayo Celebration!
A fun, Paramount movie from writer and director John Krasinski, IF is about a girl who discovers that she can see everyone’s imaginary friends — and what she does with that superpower — as she embarks on a magical adventure to reconnect forgotten IFs with their kids. Watch the trailer.
Come celebrate Cinco de Mayo with us!
