Get out, explore and enjoy seasonal adventures with fellow THRIVE participants. From fall festivals and corn mazes to the NC State Fair, these group outings provide opportunities to experience local attractions, make new friends and enjoy community beyond the Y.
Upcoming Trips
Oct. 16 | Ken's Corn Maze
- Lunch at The Clubhouse Restaurant (on your own) at 2 p.m.
- Meet at Ken's Corn Maze at 4 p.m.
- Admission: $17, payable at Ken's
Oct. 20 | NC State Fair
- Ages 65 and older receive free admission with a valid ID.
- Adults under 65 may purchase advance tickets for $10 through the NC State Fair website or advance sale locations through Oct. 15, or pay $13 at the gate.
- Shuttle departs the YMCA at 8:30 a.m. and returns around 2 p.m.
- Catch a ride with the Y and enjoy all the carnival rides, food, exhibits and agricultural fun the fair has to offer.
Oct. 24 | Lexington Barbecue Festival
- Meet at Cary Train Station at 10 a.m.
- Travel by train to enjoy one of North Carolina's most popular annual festivals.
- Cost: $60 per person for round-trip train transportation.
