Welcoming Week, an initiative of Y-USA's national partner Welcoming America, celebrates the growing movement of communities across the U.S. that fully embrace new Americans and their contributions to the social fabric of our country.
Our Durham YMCAs are celebrating Welcoming Week with activities September 13 - 20:
- Friday, September 13: Starting this day we are offering a Welcome Week BINGO with a prize grab at our front desks!
- Friday, September 13: Bilingual Story Time & Craft at 10 a.m. at Lakewood's Kid Zone
- Saturday, September 14: Bilingual Story Time & Craft at 10 a.m. at Hope Valley Farms's Kid Zone
- Monday, September 16: Bilingual Story Time & Craft at 10 a.m. at Downtown Durham's Kid Zone
- Tuesday, September 17: Voter Registration at Downtown Durham & Lakewood, 5 - 7:30 p.m. in the lobbies
- Friday, September 20: International Potluck at 12:30 p.m. in the Teer Room at the Downtown Durham YMCA
