February 24, 2026

We’re grateful for our members and the vibrant community you help create every day, and we’re committed to expanding opportunities for others to experience the YMCA alongside you.

Starting July 5, 2026, the YMCA of the Triangle is updating guest and pass policies to make it easier for friends, families and teens to experience the Y, while continuing to protect the benefits our members value most.

Day Pass Updates

Guests purchasing a Day Pass now have more flexibility, with no limits on how often Day Passes may be purchased. Day Pass holders also receive:

  • Full access to YMCA facilities during regular operating hours
  • Up to two hours of YMCA on-site child care (Kid Zone; ages and availability vary by location)
  • Outdoor pool access Sunday – Friday, excluding holidays.

7‑Day Pass Updates

The 7‑Day Pass is designed for adults (18+) in the YMCA of the Triangle service area who want to experience the Y before joining.

  • Full access to YMCA facilities, outdoor pools, amenities and group exercise classes
  • Valid for seven consecutive days from activation
  • Access to all 19 YMCA of the Triangle locations
  • One-time use per person
  • Must be 18 or older to redeem

Outdoor Pool Access

Members may continue to bring guests, with expanded outdoor access now available during regular hours. To preserve peak summer benefits:

  • Outdoor pools remain member-only on Saturdays and holidays
  • Day Pass holders may access outdoor pools on Sundays and throughout the week

Expanded access for teens.

To support teen connection and belonging,  members ages 14 – 17 may bring a guest who is also 14+. These updates make it easier for teens to stay active and connected together.

What’s staying the same?

Guests must be accompanied by a member, check in at the Welcome Center, show a valid photo ID and follow all YMCA policies and the Code of Conduct. Guest fees remain unchanged.

These updates are designed to strengthen community, support membership growth and help more people feel welcome at the Y.
