Interrupted learning from the pandemic has left a significant impact on our school-age children. Supporting education is one of our foundations at the YMCA of the Triangle
That's why we've partnered with the Wake County Public School System, the HELPS Education fund and, the WakeEd Partnership to provide structured, intense, one-on-one tutoring to help students improve their reading fluency and confidence.
About WakeTogether
We need your help to help us achieve these goals. We call this program WakeTogether. Here are the basics to become a volunteer tutor.
- Locations around Wake County
- Commitment for at least one semester and one to two hours a week
- Tutors may volunteer during or after school hours
