Specialty STEM and Art Camps
This summer, the YMCA is creating even more opportunities for kids to unplug from screens, stay active and explore new interests through meaningful, hands‑on experiences. We’re excited to introduce two brand new YMCA Specialty Camps designed for curious, creative learners: Specialty STEM Camp and Specialty Art Camp.
These camps were thoughtfully designed and will be led by certified Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) teachers who bring deep subject‑area expertise and real classroom experience.
“Families told us they were looking for more enriching, hands‑on experiences that help kids learn, grow and stay engaged," Kim Keith, Vice President of Youth Development and Operations, said. "These new specialty camps reflect that feedback and our strategic plan commitment to expand innovative programs that support positive youth development and help children and teens build confidence, skills and resilience.”
Paired with the YMCA’s signature approach to fun, engaging and child‑centered programming, campers will enjoy high‑quality learning experiences that feel exciting, creative, and playful—while building friendships and confidence along the way.
Registration is open now, and space is limited!
