Most of us start the New Year with the best of intentions. But few of us stick to a wellness plan for 365 days. Our trained Fitness Center Staff offered a few simple tips to help you stay on track.

FIND A BUDDY

Studies show that working out with a friend will keep you accountable. Look for fun wellness challenges throughout the year at YMCA branches. We can even connect you to other members with similar interests.

LEARN FROM THE PROS

Invest in a personal trainer for one-on-one coaching. Our trained professionals will review your health history, lifestyle and goals.

FIND YOUR FIT

If you haven't already, sign up for your free fitness orientation and customize your workout program to your strength training, cardiovascular, functional fitness, and/or flexibility training needs.At the Y,  you'll find hundreds of free group fitness classes offered every week at YMCAs across the Triangle. We have thumping cardio, serene Yoga, beginner and intense cycle, pumping strength training and enough dance and Zumba to keep you moving.
