Participation is available for four-person teams, making it the perfect outing for businesses, organizations and groups looking to connect outside the office. The event welcomes shooters of all experience levels, from first-time participants to seasoned enthusiasts. Along the way, you'll experience one of North Carolina's premier sporting clays venues while helping fund YMCA programs that support local students and families.

No sponsorship is required to participate. Simply register your foursome and join us for a memorable day of competition, connection and community impact.
Event Q&A
Teams of four will rotate through 13 sporting clays stations, with an optional 5-Stand Flurry competition available. Individual shooters will compete for the highest overall score, while prizes will also be awarded to the top team and top Flurry scorers.
In addition to the sporting clays competition, participants can bid on silent auction items and enjoy a barbecue lunch.
The 5-Stand Flurry is a four-person team competition featuring eight machines that randomly throw 100 targets in approximately three minutes.
- 50 sporting clays targets per participant
- Ammunition for 12-gauge and 20-gauge shotguns
- Four-person golf cart
- Gun rental, if needed
- Eye and ear protection
- Show targets
- Required safety briefing
Participants using 16-gauge, 28-gauge or .410 shotguns must provide their own ammunition. Ammunition must be 7.5, 8 or 9 shot target loads.
Eye and ear protection is provided, but participants may use their own protective equipment, including prescription glasses, sunglasses or over-the-ear hearing protection.
Yes. All participants must sign a waiver during event registration (8:30 - 9:30 a.m.). A safety briefing is also required before the shoot begins.
Yes. Participants may bring their own sporting shotgun. Modified firearms are not permitted, and shotgun barrels may not exceed 24 inches.
Dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes suitable for walking. Eye and ear protection are required on the course and will be provided.
No. Registration is available only for teams of four. Participants who are not sponsoring the event may register a single four-person team. Tickets are available to come as a spectator and enjoy lunch.
Team registrations are nonrefundable. Registered teams are responsible for filling all four positions. If a team participates with fewer than four shooters, no refund will be issued for unused spots. Substitute participants are welcome.
