CILT at Clearwater
The CILT (Campers in Leadership Training) program is part summer camp and part hands-on leadership program. CILTs work with younger campers in group games, huddle activities and assemblies. CILTs also build leadership skills through trainings and activities.

There will be four 2-week sessions of CILT at Camp Clearwater. July 3 is a holiday, and camp will be closed.

All YMCA Day Camps require a $20 deposit per session. If you do not have a YMCA account, you can create one at the time of registration.

Clearwater is our most developed CILT program location. We have 200-250 campers and 20 CILTs each week. We spend 100% of the day outdoors doing traditional camp activities, such as canoes, archery, fishing, arts & crafts, etc. Camp spirit is high with lots of songs and cheering. We bus to Meadowmont to swim twice per week.
The CILT program is a specialized leadership program for pre-teens/teens who want to develop leadership skills. CILTs will focus on listening to children, role modeling values, using positive discipline, teaching new skills, leading group games, and building respect. In addition to hands-on experience assisting with group huddles, CILTs will attend daily leadership trainings with the Teen Director or CILT Coordinator. The CILT program is available to rising 8th graders through 15-year-olds.
Campers are asked to bring a change of clothes, a swimsuit, a towel, lunch, two snacks, and a refillable water bottle. Most campers pack everything in a backpack.
