January 2 - 19 we are collecting needed items for The Carying Place. The Carying Place supports homeless working families with children in Cary. See their current list of most needed donations.
We will also be doing a coat drive to help our neighbors in the western part of the state still recovering from the devastating effects of Hurricane Helene.

We invite you to join us at 8 a.m. in the Taylor Family Y lobby on Jan. 20 as we gather to watch the live stream of the 45th Annual Interfaith Prayer Breakfast “Mission Possible: The Power of Justice and Radical Love” presented by the Triangle MLK Committee bringing together community members and leaders in celebration of the Martin Luther King, Jr.'s enduring legacy. This year's keynote speaker will be the Donna Coletrane Battle, Ph.D.

We have three opportunities for you to volunteer on January 20 beginning at 10:30 a.m.
- Volunteers are needed to sort donations for The Carying Place and Western North Carolina.
- Volunteers are need to mulch and put new soil in our garden boxes.
- Volunteers are needed for Spruce. This is the town's initiative to clean up the surrounding area and greenway.
