At the Y, we are dedicated to strengthening the foundations of our community. In order to do that, we need an understanding of who we are as a nation. This is what the United States Census provides.
The next Census is in Spring 2020! We want to make sure Triangle residents are counted so we can put those resources to good use here at home!
WHAT IS THE CENSUS AND WHY DOES IT MATTER?
The Census determines how federal funding is given out to our communities. Over $1.5 trillion annually is distributed for programs that support our communities and benefit all Americans.
Census information is used to:

- Create jobs, and
- Improve Housing
