THRIVE Classes

YMCA THRIVE classes are designed to help active older adults prevent muscle loss and bone density, maintaining and improving postural control, mobility and functional fitness.

Cardio Strength

Low-impact, low-intensity combines strength and flexibility with seated and standing modifications. 

Balanced and Strong

Focus on building strength, functional fitness and balance. Chairs are provided if needed.

Chair Yoga

Gentle and effective method for Yoga practice. Participants may sit or stand.

Chair Stretch

Gentle on the joints and helps strengthen and lengthen muscles. Stretching can avoid stiffness and soreness.

Dance

Improve mental and physical health, increase flexibility, balance and coordination. Move at your own speed. 

Gentle Aerobics

A gentle, low-impact workout to get heart rate up slowly and cause less pressure on your joints.
