Congrats to our 2022 Summer Swim Team Champions:
The Kraft Family YMCA Seals!
The Kraft Y Summer Swim Team worked hard for 10 full weeks. Ages four - 18 practiced 2 - 4 nights a week, training as a team and improving their individual skills.
Saturday, August 6, the team went head to head with every other YMCA Summer Swim Team in the Triangle area. Assistant Aquatics Director Madison Temple shared her experience:
"Our team placed first overall! Our Seals have worked so hard and it is impossible to put into words the memories, lessons, and growth that our seals experienced both in and out of the water this season. Our Kraft Seals worked endlessly on improving every practice and were always ready to take on new challenges, learn something new, and push themselves a little bit harder every day!"
"With this being our first year back to normal following many COVID protocols, our Seals were even more excited to work hard and learn new things as a team! Not only did I enjoy watching our Seals improve their swimming skills and times, but my absolute favorite part of this season was the team spirit and camaraderie that grew from every practice and swim meet we attended this season."
"After being a part of the seals for 12 seasons, I have never seen such a strong team bond that even stretched between our youngest seals to our oldest ones! It was incredible to provide a positive and fun space where friends of different ages and skill levels could all feel accepted and learn from one another. We could not be more proud of our swimmers and I am so lucky to be able to lead a team of such great kids!"
