Join us in service as we remember and celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a book drive and street clean up!
Street Clean Up
On MLK Day, Mon., Jan. 15 from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m., we will do our part to clean up a local roadway in our community. The Northwest Cary YMCA, in partnership with Spruce and the Town of Cary, has adopted a section of Cary Glen Rd. We are responsible for keeping our section (from Cary Lake Park to McCrimmon Pkwy.) clean and litter free. This is an outdoor event, so please be aware of the weather and dress accordingly! We will host our cleanup day rain or shine. Close-toed shoes are required. All supplies are generously provided by Spruce and the Town of Cary.

Book Drive
We are also gathering donations for our Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Library. Do you have books at home that deal with these topics that you would like to share with others at the Y? Donate previously read adult or children's books or buy new ones online that will help us promote these ideals and thoughtful discussion of these topics in our community. Find our Amazon wish list here with suggested titles. We hope to fully stock our library shelves with your help!
