The YMCA is working with Nutrition HealthWorks to offer in-person nutrition counseling for members at the A.E. Finley, Downtown Durham, Alexander, Kraft and Northwest Cary YMCAs. Virtual nutrition counseling is available as well.
Nutrition HealthWorks specializes in weight management, medical wellness, sports nutrition, diabetes education and corporate nutrition for adults and children. Here is a basic overview of what we offer.
Nutrition HealthWorks accepts insurance, and many carriers now offer nutritional counseling as part of wellness benefits. They also offer services that may not be covered under insurance such as meal planning, pantry makeovers or metabolism testing.
