Sports Camp
Sports Camp features sport-specific drills and scrimmages, with time for swimming and traditional camp activities. Pick the sport per week your camper is interested in, and watch them improve their skills and burn off energy in a safe environment.
Sports Camp Sessions
There will be 10 weeks of Sports Camp this summer. An Extended Day option is available for care until 6 p.m. at Camp Excursion held at River Dell Elementary.
July 3 is a holiday, and camp will be closed.

Registration
All YMCA Day Camps require a $20 deposit per session. If you do not have a YMCA account, you can create one at the time of registration.
Sports Camp FAQs
Drop off and pick up (Rides In and Rides Out) take place on the side of the YMCA near the new shelter. Follow the signs to the drop-off and pick-up area.
A counselor will welcome your child.
Extended Day pick up is at Camp Excursion at River Dell Elementary.
Sports Camp Family Nights happen three times a summer; once in June, July and August. Campers and their families attend a special evening of camp programming and fun.
Specific dates and details will be announced in June.
Campers are asked to bring a change of clothes, a swimsuit, a towel, lunch, two snacks, and a refillable water bottle. Most campers pack everything in a backpack.
Sports Camp campers may also need shin guards or cleats. All other sports gear is provided.
For campers who love Sports Camp and parents who love a full-day camp, we now offer an Extended Day option for all weeks. If needed, please add the extended day option during registration. There is a fee for this option.
Extended Day Campers will ride a YMCA bus to Camp Excursion at River Dell Elementary in the afternoon. Pick up for Extended Day Campers is at River Dell Elementary.
Other Day Camps
The East Triangle YMCA offers several other day camps in and around Clayton for younger and older campers.
Kindercamp
Kindercamp is a half-day summer day camp for our littlest campers. These half-day programs are a great introduction to the structure and rhythm of day camp.
