YMCA Camp Excel: West Cary Middle

We are already planning for the summer and we can’t wait to see your children in 2024! Registration opens mid February.

Camp Excel is a seven-week summer day camp that is fully subsidized by donations to the YMCA's Annual Campaign. Camp Excel is open to students and siblings currently enrolled in the YMCA Y Learning programs.

Through the YMCA's partnership with Wake County Public Schools, each child will receive a warm, nutritious breakfast and lunch every day. Every child will also receive swim lessons twice a week through our Y Splash program.

At Camp Excel children can choose their activities. This summer camp offers arts and crafts, dance and sports like football, basketball, hockey and soccer. 

Rising kindergartners will focus on kindergarten readiness. Children in grades 1 - 5 will spend two hours per day engaged in activities to improve math skills and literacy. All children will be working with certified teachers.

Camp Excel is for kids in rising grades K - 10. Camp Excel is located at West Cary Middle School (1000 Evans Road, Cary, NC 27513) and is operated through the Taylor Family and Northwest Cary YMCAs.
