THRIVE fitness classes are designed for those who are new to fitness, getting back into fitness after injury or building their fitness confidence in a group setting. Classes help prevent muscle and bone density loss, maintain and improve posture control and mobility and promote functional fitness. Functional fitness is the ability to move in the ways we move in everyday life.
Cardio Strength
This low impact and intensity class combines cardio, strength and flexibility. Both seated and standing options are offered. This is a perfect class for active older adults or those starting an exercise routine.
Balanced and Strong
Use various equipment to focus on building strength, functional fitness and balance. Chairs are provided for balance and strength.
Chair Yoga
This class offers a gentle, yet effective, way to practice yoga for those with limited mobility. Participants are provided a chair for stability and may sit or stand during the class.
Chair Stretch
This class is gentle on the joints and low impact to help strengthen and lengthen your muscles using basic stretches. A stretching routine will help avoid stiffness and soreness and keeps your body healthy.
Dance
Build confidence and move to the beat at your own speed. This class improves mental and physical health while increasing flexibility, balance and coordination.
Gentle Aerobics
This gentle aerobic workout involves movements designed to get our heart rate up slowly and cause less pressure on your joints.
Gentle Hatha Yoga
Gentle yoga class that offers adaptions and modifications while promoting a range of motion, balance, strength and relaxation. This class takes place on a mat but excludes all weight-bearing exercises on the upper body.
