Bright Society

The YMCA of the Triangle's legacy society, formerly the Heritage Club, was renamed the Bright Society in 2024 to honor late YMCA executive Judy Bright. The Bright Society recognizes donors who give through endowments or planned giving.

There are two ways to become a member:

  1. Make the YMCA a beneficiary of a planned gift
  2. Contribute to the YMCA's Endowment

Getting to Know Judy Bright

The Bright Society is named for Judy Bright, who served on staff with YMCA Camp Seafarer and Camp Sea Gull and their parent organization, the YMCA of the Triangle, from 1970-2007. During her tenure, Judy had an incredible impact on the spirit, culture and the ongoing excellence of the YMCA that is still felt today. Judy pioneered the YMCA of the Triangle’s philanthropy program, which is now renowned for having the nation’s largest YMCA Annual Campaign. She also established the Heritage Club, recently renamed in her honor as the Bright Society.
